La Ferme aux Crocodiles

A half-day visit: 350-plus crocodiles on Europe’s biggest farm.
At the gateway to the Ardèche River Gorge, in the Rhône Valley, 10 minutes from the A7 motorway, and 40 minutes from the Cité du Chocolat, “the Crocodile Farm” is open every day (Sundays and public holidays included).

Le Train de l'Ardèche

A steam train line that blends stunning landscapes with a strong sense of history.
This narrow-gauge line was built into a hillside in 1886-1891 by over 1,000 labourers. Many vehicles built for the line – steam locomotives, self-powered railcars, carriages – are now listed monuments. 10 minutes from the Cité du Chocolat.

Palais Idéal du Facteur Cheval

Its reputation is limitless, and many visitors come from all over the world to see “Postman Cheval’s Ideal Palace”.
30 minutes from the Cité du Chocolat.

Le Château de Tournon 

Just across the River Rhône, facing the Cité du Chocolat, this medieval castle overlooks Tournon and Tain l'Hermitage, beckoning visitors. For opening dates and prices, please enquire at the Hermitage Tournonais area tourist office.
