There, you can observe and listen to the fauna and flora that live in an agroforestry cocoa plantation, Valrhona's sustainable farming model.

In the shop, pastry enthusiasts will find all the equipment and ingredients necessary for baking at home with products and utensils used by professionals : chocolate beans, pastry aids, tools… The Valrhona shop also offers products usually reserved for professionals, including bags of cocoa beans from 1 to 3 kg, as well as pralines, dried fruits, and Norohy professional vanilla.

Committed to its region, Valrhona partnered with local businesses to carry out this latest renovation.
Bulk products to reduce packaging
You'll find a unique chocolate bean library housed in six custom-made glass and stainless steel silos designed to preserve the quality of the chocolate. To reduce unnecessary packaging, the shop now offers a bulk section where everyone can select their favorite couverture chocolates in the quantity they need. This initiative encourages more responsible consumption and limits waste.

This gift, valid for one year, has an expiry date handwritten by the sales staff, ensuring great flexibility in its use. Admission is very simple, upon presentation of proof of transport (bus ticket, SNCF ticket) or a photo taken in front of the Boutique or the Cité with your bicycle. This system encourages sustainable mobility while offering visitors a gourmet and cultural experience.

Since its opening in 1942, when it was only 98 pi², the Valrhona Boutique in Tain l’Hermitage has constantly evolved. Several expansion phases have been carried out since the 1990s, leading to its current configuration, which now offers visiting gourmets a retail space of approximately 787 pi² and more than 400 products to delight themselves or others. Over the years, it has evolved to become much more than a simple retail space: it embodies the history and identity of Valrhona.
Renovated in 2024, it offers you the opportunity to discover the world of Valrhona through a true sensory journey: immersion in the plantations, a space dedicated to chefs, a workshop for exceptional gifts, a kiosk to discover the chocolate that's right for you. It features the iconic grand cru chocolates that have made the Valrhona house famous, but also exclusive creations and limited editions that demonstrate its spirit of innovation.
